BPW Business and Professional Women of Lower Cape Cod – bpwlowercapecod.org/blog/scholarship-information Qualifications: Women 21 years or older; living on Lower or Outer Cape Cod for 2 years; currently enrolled in degree program or certificate program; provide statement of financial need in cover letter; must submit details of course program, schedule and goals, including completion criteria; program must be tailored towards training and education leading to career advancement, in your present career or towards a new profession or business.

Qualifications: Women only ; must be citizens of the United States of America and residents of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard or Nantucket; are attending or have been accepted at an accredited college, vocational or technical school, at 2nd semester level in September; GPA of 3.0 or better
Patsy Takemoto Mink Educational Foundation Awards - patsyminkfoundation.org - up to $5,000
Qualifications: Woman, at least 17 years old; a mother with minor children; pursuing a vocational degree/certificate, an associate’s degree, first bachelor’s degree, professional/master’s/doctoral degree; enrolled in not-for-profit, accredited institution or program; low-income (annual family income less than $20,000 for family of 2; less than $24,000 for family of 3; less than $28,000 for family of 4)

Information online in January with April 1 deadline for online application, letters of recommendation, personal essay, and transcript. Check the Cape Cod Foundation website for the most recent scholarship booklet for all scholarships. Scholarships for “continuing students” are for anyone who has started college, dropped out, and is now returning to finish.

Qualifications: Adults returning to school (out of school for 2 years or more); US citizens; preference for 2 year degree/professional certificate/technical certificate or undergraduate degree; preference for Cape Cod residents, but SE MA students are considered.
Cape Cod Foundation Scholarship - capecodfoundation.org - $1000
Qualifications: Cape Cod or Islands resident; returning adult student; significant financial need; displays perseverance & strong work ethic.
The Cape Cod Foundation also has individual scholarships for residents of certain towns: Yarmouth - Gateway Isles Scholarship ($500); Brewster - Henry & Minny Whittemore Scholarship (up to $10,000); Sandwich - Sandwich Legacy Scholarship ($500).

Qualifications: Fund does not emphasize any particular form of religious practice or worship; fund seeks to provide support to persons motivated by spiritual values; fund has awarded grants to persons entering a wide range of careers. However, preference will be given to those who can satisfy high scholastic requirements and are considering careers in education; must be a resident of ME, NH, VT, RI, MA, CT, NY, NJ, PA, Oh, DE, MR, DC, ViA, WV or NC.

Toby Sanders Scholarship - Varies
Qualifications: For graduating seniors from Monomoy Regional High School who have demonstrated a strong work ethic and a keen interest in golf by having successfully participated in the golf program for at least two years.

Qualifications: Students from Cape Cod entering junior or senior year at University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Qualifications: For continuing college student graduating from Cape Cod with a preference given to students graduating from Barnstable High School; attending a New England Small College (NESCAC) with preference given to students enrolling at Colby College.

Qualifications: Applicant must be a member of the American Legion, Auxiliary or Sons of the American Legion; dues must have been paid for the two preceding years and for calendar year in which the application is made; applicant may be pursuing training in a certified trade, professional or technical program or a two-year or four-year degree program.

Qualifications: This is a last dollar scholarship that is awarded to a student whose official Expected Family Contribution (EFC), located on your Student Aid Report, and financial aid packages totals are less than the cost of tuition and fees. Endorsed by a partnering community organization from One Family's network OR referred by two organizations with which the applicant is currently affiliated. A single head of household with dependent children under the age of 18. Family income at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level. An entering or returning student at an approved accredited undergraduate institution in Massachusetts. A permanent resident of Massachusetts and a United States citizen or Resident Alien. Have a definite plan to use the desired degree to enter a family.
