Our program provides comprehensive training at our fully equipped HVAC shop, along with direct work experience with some of the largest and most respected HVAC companies on Cape Cod. By the end of the program, you will have the opportunity to interview for open positions with our employer partners.

How to Apply

Application Period: August 3, 2024 – September 5, 2024
Submission: Applications must be in hard copy and can be mailed to or dropped off at Cape Cod Regional Technical High School, 351 Pleasant Lake Ave, Harwich, MA 02645, Attn: Adult Education.

Applications will be available Aug 3. Due to high demand, we have a competitive application process. Twelve applicants will be selected based on financial eligibility, CORI status, and responses to the Applicant Supplemental Information form. Accepted applicants will be notified by September 10, 2024.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, you must reside in Barnstable County and meet one of the following conditions:

  • Currently unemployed
  • Employed in a non-benefited, seasonal position
  • Employed year-round but with an income less than 60% of the median income for Barnstable County
  • Number of Dependents   |   60% Median Income- Cape and Islands

Program Attendance and Requirements

Orientation: Thursday, September 19, 4:00 p.m.
Classes: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., starting September 24
Job Shadowing: Fridays on October 11, 18, 25, and November 1 (minimum of two sessions required)
OSHA Training: Wednesdays on October 9 and 16, 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Employer Interviews: Friday, November 15, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon

To successfully complete the program and receive your Certificate of Completion, you must meet the attendance requirements, master the necessary competencies, and complete the end-of-course evaluation.

Transportation and Supplies

Participants must provide their own transportation. A $100 transportation stipend will be given at the start of the program. All necessary supplies will be provided by Cape Cod Tech.
