If you had ever run into Tianna or Rodney at Cape Cod Tech prior to our school closure, you know just how creative and magnetic both of these students are. We were incredibly proud when both Tianna and Rodney, students of our cosmetology licensure course, were awarded adult learner scholarships from the Falmouth Service Center and the Cape Cod Foundation, respectively.
Tianna and Rodney, both local Cape Codders, have a desire to remain on Cape Cod and carve out a space of the beauty industry for themselves once they graduate. Rodney, originally from Southern Missouri, calls Provincetown home and hopes to open a salon as a licensed esthetician. Tianna hopes to open her own salon as well, catering to clients with curly hair that may not be able to find a hairdresser that can meet their needs. They spend five hours four days a week working towards their Massachusetts licensure, often times after working a full day’s work. That’s 1,000 hours of instruction before being eligible for their license!
Congratulations to Tianna and Rodney for their hard work, perseverance, and dedication! We’re proud to have such amazing individuals at our school demonstrating just how inspiring adult students truly are.
