Cultivating Careers: Celebrating Our Landscape Program Graduates

9 week Landscape Program Graduates

At the Community School at Cape Cod Tech, we’re proud to recognize the incredible commitment and success of the students who completed our 9-week and 20-week Landscape Maintenance Certificate programs this year. These graduates are now making a meaningful difference in the green spaces of Cape Cod, applying their training in a wide variety of roles within the landscaping industry.

Whether installing irrigation systems, maintaining commercial properties, or planting and pruning in public parks and private gardens, our students are equipped with the foundational knowledge, hands-on skills, and safety training to thrive in the field.

Workforce-Driven, Grant-Supported

These programs were made possible through generous funding by the Workforce Competitiveness Trust Fund (WCTF), a grant that enables us to deliver high-quality, career-focused training at no cost to eligible adult learners. This initiative reflects a vital partnership between workforce development efforts and local industry needs, helping to close skills gaps and offer career pathways in a field that is both essential and evolving.

This project is funded by the Senator Kenneth J. Donnelly Workforce Success Grant (Workforce Competitiveness Trust Fund FY’21 Appropriation} and funds appropriated through the federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) of 2021. This grant initiative is administered by Commonwealth Corporation on behalf of the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development and the Workforce Skills Cabinet.

Real-World Results Across Cape Cod

Graduates from both the 9-week and 20-week cohorts have transitioned into employment with landscaping companies, municipal departments, conservation groups, and property management firms across the Cape. Some students came to the program with experience, looking to deepen their technical skills and open new doors. Others were new to the field, discovering a rewarding and active career that connects them to the outdoors and to the community.

Looking Ahead

As we celebrate these milestones, we remain committed to offering accessible, industry-aligned training that supports Cape Cod’s workforce and natural environment. If you’re interested in launching a career in landscaping or know someone who might benefit, we encourage you to sign up below to receive information about the next session starting in January 2026.

Congratulations to all our graduates, and thank you to the WCTF for your investment in their futures. Cape Cod is greener—and stronger—thanks to your work.
