Electrical Journeyman Code and Theory Level 4

Complete your classroom training for the electrical trade with Electrical Journeyman Code and Theory Level 4 at The Community School at Cape Cod Tech in Harwich, Massachusetts. This 150 hour course is designed for electrical apprentices who are working toward the 600 total classroom hours required to sit for the Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician licensing exam.

This Level 4 course follows the Mike Holt Electrical curriculum and builds on the knowledge developed in Levels 1, 2, and 3. Students continue their study of advanced electrical code, Massachusetts Electrical Code requirements, NEC calculations, electrical estimating, OSHA construction safety, and exam preparation for the Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician licensing exam.

Course topics are based on the Mike Holt Level 4 curriculum and include NEC Articles 90 through 480, in depth code review, NEC calculations, electrical estimating, OSHA construction safety, and practice exams designed to strengthen students’ knowledge and confidence as they prepare for the Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician licensing exam. Students will also continue using the Massachusetts Electrical Code, NFPA 70 with Massachusetts Amendments, as part of their preparation for licensing.

Who Should Enroll:

This course is intended for electrical apprentices who have completed Levels 1, 2, and 3 of the Electrical Journeyman Code and Theory sequence. Students should have completed a minimum of 450 hours of classroom instruction before enrolling. Students must be employed by a licensed electrician in order to enroll.

Requirements:

Students must obtain the Massachusetts Electrical Code 2026, NFPA 70 with Massachusetts Amendments, and the Mike Holt Level 4 curriculum materials required for the course.

English Language Readiness is required to participate safely and successfully in instruction, safety procedures, technical/cod materials, coursework, and assessments, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Enroll in Electrical Journeyman Code and Theory Level 4 at The Community School at Cape Cod Tech to complete the classroom hours required for Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician licensure.
