Aiste will guide students in grades 9-12 through the process step by step.
Learn and understand textiles including the fibers, weaving and cutting techniques and importance of sustainability.
Introduction to sewing machines that covers techniques and set up.
Read and understand patterns and the basics to create your own Design and create a garment from start to finish.
You must be able to bring your own portable sewing machine once a week to class. Sewing machines may be available to rent or purchase for an additional cost. A quality portable sewing machine is estimated to cost approximately $150. The additional cost of materials and tools is the responsibility of the students and is estimated at $100 - $200

Aiste is an experienced designer with her own company. After studying Fashion Design at Lasalle College in Montreal, Canada, she has been working in the fashion industry for almost 20 years.
