Dental Assistant Program

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Cost: $2,850.00. Includes book and scrubs ($100 off cost for Early Bird Registration available until August 20, 2021)

In six months, start a new career as a dental assistant by learning the essential skills you need and prepare to take the Dental Assistant National Board exams in Infection Control and Radiation, Health and Safety.  The program offers virtual learning and practical hands-on clinical labs in the Cape Cod Tech Dental workshop using up-to-date equipment and current techniques. Upon successful completion of the program, you will be able to:

  • Identify dental anatomy and oral pathology (diseases and abnormalities)
  • Understand the principles of chair-side assisting to help dentists perform dental procedures for general and specialty dentistry.
  • Identify the path of infection, routes of transmission, and sterilization and disinfection techniques
  • Expose different types of dental radiographs
  • Understand dental materials such as impression, dental cement, night guard fabrication 

Labs and classes are offered hands-on at Cape Cod Tech.


Certification exam fees and CPR required course and any costs incurred to comply with immunization requirements are not included.

All candidates must satisfactorily complete a CORI, provide proof of current immunizations and have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Educational hours from the Dental Assistant Program may be used to partially satisfy the time requirements for the General Chairside exam to become a Certified Dental Assistant.
