This course is for beginners and starts building skills one at a time until you learn to sew with confidence.  Learn new skills using a sewing machine for the first time or are in need of a serious refresher.  Introduction to sewing machines covers techniques and set up. You will also learn to read and understand patterns.  You must be able to bring your own portable sewing machine once a week to class. Sewing machines may be available to rent or purchase for an additional cost.  A quality portable sewing machine is estimated to cost approximately $150.  The additional cost of materials and tools is the responsibility of the student.
